In a colossal failure to defy the BYU stereotype, Ammon and Isabel met in church the day before classes started their freshman year. Later the same week, Isabel invited Ammon and his roommates to join her roommates for baptisms at the Provo temple, unknowingly beginning a tradition of weekly temple visits together.
The seasons changed and the leaves fell and soon Isabel and Ammon found themselves falling for each other, despite many friend zones and break-ups. They started officially dating in October of 2022.
Before they were lovers, they were brain twins and podcasting buddies, realizing how similar they were in so many ways-- talents, aspirations and even educational goals.
They continued to make each other better while having fun, but ultimately decided they couldn't live without each other while Isabel was on a BYU Global Marketing Study abroad during Spring Semester.
On August 8, 2023, during Isabel's first visit to Ammon's hometown of Madison, South Dakota they were officially engaged.
